Hey guys after recently waxing my chain, the bottom jockey wheel has started to move vertically while pedaling. Is this normal?
Some initial thoughts idea might be:
-chain wax isn’t broken in yet.
-chain line or chain gap misalignment?
-quick link isn’t waxed (does it need to be?)
-jockey wheels are gunked up
I got a SRAM Force XPLR derailleur on a 1x
Is this Vertical movement on the bottom jockey wheel normal?

Not normal. If you just waxed, it’s very likely a stuck link.
Is the quick link fully seated?
You rotate the crank multiple times, and the jump does not happen every pedal rotation. That means that it is not the cascette or chainring. Means you have a tight or bent chain link. Shift to the hardest gear, pedal the crank backwards and watch the chain rotate over the smallest cascette gear (hardest). When the stiff link hits that gear, it won’t rotate properly around the gear, and you can quickly identify the culprit. Put a small allen or small strait screwdriver in the narrow part of the stiff link and rotate towards and away from the bike just a bit till it loosens up.
