Pull it up diagonally like you’re going for a table but push out sideways with your feet while turning the bars like you’re doing. You’ll get it.

Try carving up the lip. Finn Iles has a good video on how to whip.

Take a sweeping turn into the lip, so your bike is a bit sideways on takeoff. It looks like you are doing an “oppo” whip. (Whipping against the natural hip angle of the jump)
Experiment with different inruns up to the lip. (Parallel, but offset to the side) I come in on the very edge of the trail, (say, the left) and carve across to hit the opposite side of the lip, (right) and transfer back to the original side (Left) …milk the *whole* trail to allow for maximum allowable speed. Cut a hypotenuse over every gap or table, as to go faser — think “air dh” race, or supercross, mx, etc.
If you want to whip past 90°, you gotta tuck your legs around the frame. I switch foot placement in the air if it’s a right or left whip.https://www.reddit.com/r/MTB/s/0bXESUolJO

You ain’t loose anywhere my dude. Get wiggly with it. You tense up right before the jump and it prevents you from whipping.
