Any tips, route suggestions about doing Japan Cape to Cape? (I want to do it next July-September (3 Months) (North-South) on my Crust Lightning Bolt, going light, probably only hammock/bivy no tent. 🙂

Did Sapporo to Fukuoka in the 90’s, Weather patterns have changed a bit but July was really wet and humid. Cemeteries are a great place to camp, always deserted after dark with fresh water and facilities. Many had large open air gazebos that made great cooking and sleeping areas out of the rain. Pick up some mosquito coils (repellent incense)(cheap and light) they really helped. There’s an app called windy that is hyper accurate.
JMA also has a weather app that gives up to the minute conditions. One word of caution, this was a summer vacation trip for me, by the end of my 30 days, I had decided to quit my job with IBM, sell everything and permanently move to Japan. 30 years later, I’m still here.
