2006 Cannondale Rush 1000
I think the rear hub is going out because the chain slacks and the noise goes away when I pedal. Just want to get some other opinions.
Does anyone know if this is a sealed hub or bearings? It’s oem parts

Probably. There’s a small chance it just needs cleaning. You’ll most likely be replacing.
Let me guess – Mavic wheel? It may need to be disassembled and cleaned, but if you do it yourself, do not grease the bushing! An old Mavic tech told me that mineral oil works in lieu of their lubricant…ymmv.
Judging by the sound, it’s way overdue for service.
