A large peanut butter jar and a Fidlock universal bottle holder.

Some will say that this is too big, but I like to carry more than the bare minimum of tools. There is even a mini air pump in there.

I store the spare inner tube inside the bike frame. I could probably get it in the jar, but it would be a tight fit.

I bought two different bottle type tool holders from Amazon, but had to return them as much too small. They were also much more expensive than the peanut butter jar. The Fidlock mount was expensive, though. The hardest part was cleaning all the peanut butter out of the jar.

  1. “The hardest part was cleaning all the peanut butter out of the jar.”

We used to have a dog who would do an extremely thorough job of that in five minutes.

  2. I use the same fidlock adapter with a water bottle but I found that it slips and eventually the water bottle would slip out the bottom. I eventually used some spare shoe laces to tie around the bottom and keep it from falling out.
