I picked this fit bike up at a boot sale. Seems decent quality but i can’t ID it and fitbike haven’t replied after sending serial numbers. Anyway me and my kid are big into DJs at the moment but I’m keen to keep the BMX in rotation. Needs a new front tyre.
Well ride Pump tracks and dirt jumps mainly.
Anything i should be looking out for here / upgrading? Anything that gets knackered and unsafe i should be checking? I know nothing about bmx really despite skating alongside bmxers for like 30 years.

Chainring was a bit bent and i just hammered it straight? That felt pretty BMX to me 😂
if you ride dirt, switch the tires around, knobby front slick rear will be much better.
Switch out the seat and post for a pivotal setup, just nicer and lighter and will smarten the bike up a bit. As other comments, tyres are on the wrong way round.
Possibly a fit Justin Inman complete 2011 model
From that bump I see on the back triangle I’d say first make sure that all the welds are okay (rims included), then that all the screws are properly tightened, then that wheels are true enough, that spokes aren’t overly tight or loose
Upgrade wise you seem to have smaller mid school type bars (I might be wrong though) with corresponding front load stem, if you’re an older rider your back might greatly benefit from higher 9″+ bars and/or top load stem
If you’re going to ride dirt I’d suggest getting another knobby tire that matches your Maxxis one, some people prefer it wider at the front, that’s up to you
After that it’s the usual better double walled rims, better cranks, etc. but probably not a priority
And I almost forgot the most important, helmets and pads for the whole family of course
I had a FIT Inman back in the day loved that bike this looks a lot like it. I would suggest get an Odyssey Aitken tires at least for the front. Aitken is a legendary FIT rider and they are great tires for dirt and pump tracks.
