Tried to add this as text in my post but it disappeared. Was working on servicing this hub and thought this dust cap just popped off, it does not and I ended up bending the metal. Is it toast or is there a way to fix it?

Bend it back. If it doesn’t interfere with the bearings and cones you’ll be ok, but grease might ooze out and/or junk might get in

  3. You can pry them out with as wide of an implement that’s on hand and will fit, and use a socket to form it back into shape. I’ve never used a slide hammer on these, but if available and with minimal force, the end may get purchase without as much deformation.

i’ve done that. Easy to do it’s thin metal. I would ride it as is. The seal isn’t quite as good around the axle but that’s fine.
