I like the idea of the corner bar and the shape but I always run into a blank when it comes to how I would want to set up or utilize it. Someone has a pair of surly corner bars for sale with some fat paw s installed on it but not sure if I’d want to ride it that way you know? I think eventually I’ll see what I can do to fabricate my own preferred shape for a gravelino “drop”

I want to try alt bars but neither my riding groups or bike shops have them I can try out. Too chicken to just hope for the best and buy one without demoing.

lol! I just ordered a Corner Bar to put on my 2012 Trek Superfly to do this.

All alt bars serve a purpose and the Corner Bar’s purpose is to look like drop bars without doing what drop bars do.
These have always had zero appeal to me. There’s no real hood to rest your hands on and you need a massive rise on the stem to make up for the drops position. I mean, yeah you don’t need new brifters, but they seem to compromise the riding position seriously with minimal benefit, especially when compared to sweepy bars with barends set inward.

I tried both the corner bars and the alloy Amazon knockoffs. TBH I liked the Amazon alloy versions better. They were swept back farther and had a longer grip area. I ended up selling both though because they have so much drop. Lately im wondering why not just run a set of bullhorn bars
