






Bike accident snapped the derailleur mounting point off the frame. I honestly didn’t think it was salvageable, but I did a bit of searching and found a CNC machined part that can be mounted by drilling holes in the frame. So, 3 hours of careful grinding, shaping and very, very careful drilling I managed to get the new derailleur mount attached. Another couple of hours to clean the frame and true the rear wheel and it’s back on the road and feels great. 😀

Nice job. I’d be worried about the strength where you filed away metal and created that square piece/corner, but to be fair it’s probably still way strong enough and if it does eventually go, you still extended the useful life of the frame.
