Primarily on the rear rim of my gravel bike, small surface cracks? or it could just be the anodizing? The rims are 6 years old and probably have a few thousand kms on them. I can't feel any texture on the surface but the pattern is consistent the entire rim.

It looks like the finish is past its prime, but if they’re solid, they seem OK.
I definitely misread that.
