I'm building up a Giant Chicago as a city commuter. It's gonna be sick with a 1×7 drivetrain and Shimano x Avid vbrakes. Planning to put some tan wall Billy Bonkers on it too. But I just need advice about the handlebars. Should I put on the mustache handlebars or the flat bars? And which one do you prefer, and why?

Mustache! Less reach is what I would prefer
I’d try the curvy ones, they look cool! I’m slowly doing several builds with swept back bars, but can’t say how they ride at this point. I think it would be interesting to compare the ride with both though. But in theory the swept back bars will give a more upright position.
It definitely go for the backsweep bars, those look really comfortable. Btw, why not keep the front derailleur? 3×7 is super nice.
