  1. Most carbon aero bars are not suitable to have anything clamping them on the flat part

[There are some ControlTech ones](https://www.controltechbikes.com/products/item/383.html) that can clip onto the stem. There’s not enough space on that bar to clamp any, so without changing them I think a stem mounted one is your only option.

Edit: I just noticed that the stem is square-ish too. That may also need to change, but at least that’s easier/cheaper than the bar

  3. There are a few bars out there that have specific clip on mounts made for them. Last one I saw was the Giant Propel, previous generation. So assume that isn’t an option.

There are some aero bars that have a wider stem clamping area to accommodate clip-ons (Deda for instance). And Vision sells bars with the MAS system to allow mounting of clip ons. But in both cases, you’re looking at new bars.

  4. I have seen some clamps designed to adjust to the app profile to allow aero bars to attach, but they looked pretty beefy to be able to have that adjustment and strength.

  5. there is an official tt / tri bar from specialized that works with both venge and the tarmac sl7/sl8 stems. just google “Specialized Tt/tri Aero Clip On Bar”. but there is zero height/angle adjustibility.
