Hi gravel folks, I'm going for a new gravel to get 1×12 GRX. Nailed it down to these two: Cube Nuroad One 2026 size L vs Giant Revolt 2 2025 size ML, both carbon versions. Im currently on an older Revolt also size ML, which works great (im 181cm with very long legs, 90cm inseam).

Im going to spec either as 1×12 GRX mechanical, and also swap seatpost, stem and handlebar, so its all about the geometry really. Intended use would be anything from 1-4 hour semi-fast phased rides to a few gravel races 100-200km and I'm also planning to do an ultra abroad with about 1100km, 20.000meter altitude gain (over 4-5 days).

But for most riding the terrain is mostly flat gravel roads, semi-wide forest paths with occasional steep but short hils, and of course paved sections in between. Planning to run 45-50mm tyres.

From what I picked up from a discussion with chatgpt, im leaning towards the Cube, as it should be "Slightly more relaxed and stable overall geo — good for long straights, sustained speed, rough high-speed sections, and reducing fatigue over long days.". Vs the Revolt, which ChatGPT thinks is "Slightly quicker steering and more reactive feel — helpful in technical gravel races.".

Since I will use my MTB for MTB riding, I dont expect do a lot of technical stuff on my gravel.

So long story short, what would you pick for the intended use? 🙂 Geo comparison below -main difference is the chainstay / wheelbase

Attribute Cube Nuroad C:62 L Giant Revolt Advanced ML
Stack ~599 mm ~602 mm
Reach ~392 mm ~391 mm
Head Angle 72° 71.5°
Chainstay 442 mm 425–435 mm
Wheelbase ~1048 mm ~1031–1041 mm

I’m new to this, and maybe this is a nothing issue, but the little things like pressed bearings on the Cube make me go meh

  2. Take chatgpt advice with a grain, or bag, of salt.

I would choose a Giant any day over a Cube to be fair, especially if you already have positive expierences and know the sizing better.

  3. I love a cube as long as it’s not mine, they’re reliable, fast enough, well priced, Well spec’d but…. ‘cube’ just doesn’t sound fast or fun. Big turn off. I wish it wasn’t. The connotations of A cube just really don’t fit in a performance bike world IMHO.

  4. ChatGPT claimed to have ridden Unbound three times last year, and I checked the photos, I think it was lying.

  5. Giant is super awesome for long legged people, test drove one and it felt great.
Testrode a Cannondale Topstone Carbon and it was even better. Maybe check them out too.

If m/l giant fits you, try the 56 size on the topstone

  6. I have a Cube Nuroad C62:Pro from 2022 and I absolutely love it. I did some bike packing trips along the European Divide Trail, which is very rugged, and the bike never made any problems. In my opinion it is very low maintance compared to my Enduro, and it just works.

Cannot say too much about the speed, because it’s not my main concern when graveling, but I have never thought the bike held me back in any way.
