  1. Beautiful Cheviot! I too installed some fenders yesterday, but not Honjos. Hmmmm, a few hours?

  2. You’ve temporarily resolved tire rub. It will only stay that way if you never ride it or move it or look at it funny.

love that frame! funny how the platypus is already like a super alt mixte but then they have this too

random but can anyone speak to the quality of honjo fenders vs velo orange fenders? seem like the top two fenders I see around

It probably took you a 2-3 hours. I had a similar issue when I changed my wheelset on my rando bike. The new wheel had a wider rim and even though I was using the same tire size, it measures wider. My 650bx42 tire was measuring out to 45mm.

My Honjos started rubbing. It was so annoying to troubleshoot. It took so much removing and installing the fender back on. It took me about 2-3 hours to fully resolve in a 2 week period.

  5. I’d put some PDW safety tabs on those front fender struts. With such tight clearance, you’re inviting some misfortune.

    Seven hours.
Seriously… the cheat code is to now drop down to 44s and be happy the rest of your life.

  7. Hopefully you’ll have decent clearance when using smaller tires, low clearance with fenders make me pucker. My first flat tire was a violent blowout from a piece of all-thread, it got stuck in the tire, went around and mangled my rear fender which put me to a quick stop before i could process what happened.

  8. Fenders are my most hated thing to work on on bikes. I hate the experience of dealing with them more than anything else hahaha. Godspeed
