I’ve only had my G Line for about a month, but I’ve not had this happen yet. Where is it initially falling off?

Weird, literally never had that happen and I’ve been all over with my G. My only gripe is the handle bar sticking out too far when folded and that it’s a bit heavy. Otherwise I think it’s a great machine.

Went back to some pics of the G I’ve taken and yea… Looks like at someone point the rear wheel was removed and the cable catch is not aligned in correctly. The black “arm” that holds the cable should be nearly parallel to the lower portion of the frame. In your case, it being higher adds slack to your chain, such that the tensioner isn’t able to compensate for this when folding/unfolded.
I’d say either take a look at Brompton’s vid on the rear wheel (https://youtu.be/vk6N-qLUR8k) or take it to your LBS and have them remove then refit the wheel. Def not normal as you’ve described, but decently fixable.
