My new canyon Aeroad cf slx 8 di2 for its first big ride ! I rode it on some nice cobbles from Flanders and took this picture on top of the muur van geraardsbergen. The bike was a bit dirty by the time of the picture. But what do you think of the colour ? My friends either love it or hate it, it’s quite polarizing.

The bike has been great so far. I’ve just an issue with the seat post. When I assembled the bike I went for a quick ride in my neighbourhood and found out after the first bump on the road that the seat post was slipping. Back home I added some more carbon paste and used my torque wrench (not the one provided by Canyon) to make sure it’s well tightened at 5Nm. So I went for this first big ride confident that the problem was solved but after the first cobblestones I lost 2 centimeters in seat height !

Did I miss something concerning the Aeroad seat post assembly ? Is that a common issue ? Anyone having some experience with a similar problem ? Thanks !

So they still havent fixed it.. good luck try to solve this with canyon.. use Leukoplast or stuff like this and put away the paste.. my seatpost lost layers of carbon until it was unrideable.. check out my history… it was pretty bad to get a „new“ seatpost from canyon.. so make sure to resolve this by your own before the abrasions get so big, that it’s not rideable anymore.. u can fix it like on the aeroads before.. without a lawyer I wish you the best of luck

  2. I think the seatpost issue has been solved with the latest iteration of the aeroad. I have the 2026 aeroad, seatpost never slipped…

  3. Is the seatpost issue common? I got a similar model aeroad jan 2025 and had no issues.

Love the color! Good luck with the seatpost! I have a 2023 Aeroad. No issue there.
