Its honestly max 30 dollar bike and not very suited for any serious mountain biking. Mostly fine for gravel roads
It would be a commuter bike that you don’t invest much money in. Maybe put side pulll brakes on and hope the hubs are fine. As shitty as bikes were in 1996, it wasn’t even a real mountain bike then.
