You don’t. That is a quill stem on your bike for a threaded steerer and the Velo Orange stem is for a threadless steerer/headset. If you really want to use that stem you’ll also need a quill to threadless adapter like this: [https://velo-orange.com/products/vo-threadless-stem-adaptor](https://velo-orange.com/products/vo-threadless-stem-adaptor)
The one you have now is a quil stem so you need a new fork or a adapter.

You’ll need a quill stem to thread-less adapter. Just make sure you get the same size quill that the stem is. It should be printed on the stem. It looks like a 25.4 but looks can be deceiving.
If you have not purchased the velo orange stem, I’m pretty sure they sell quill stems, too.
