  1. Oxygen levels are the other way around.
The higher the pressure the denser the air is. (denser air means more oxygen molecules in the same volume)
As you go higher in altitude the pressure drops that is why you get less oxygen.

Divers who go deep have to go through a decompression cycle before surfacing else they would get ripped apart from the inside due to the higher pressure gases in their organs.
They even have to use special gas mixtures at depths to prevent loss of reasoning, because the normal air mixture you breathe does not work as well in the body at high pressure.

Will be interesting to see if there is an improvement using the tent in such a short time.

  2. Did this route (near enough) when I was in Calpe a couple of weeks ago. Must say it looked CHILLY! πŸ₯ΆπŸ₯ΆGood luck for the RTW training.

  3. Hi Amy and Kyle. Brilliant vid as usual. So glad you're able to enjoy decent facitities and a great cycling environment, but I think the thin oxygen you've been breathing might be affecting your brains. 🀣

  4. Amy; you’ll be ready and it’s good to c that Kyle’s feeling back to form:-) what’s sad is that when I was in my top form in my 40’s I could hold sustained effort at 170bpm’s now in my early 60’s and post lung injury, there’s days where 127 feels feels like I’m going to explode! Oh my but I’m working on it and my four legged personal trainer is determined to get me back to at least 145:-) I loved your yippees today:-)

  5. Nice to see the local to Stoke, (Newcastle under Lyme) artist Paul T Williams work on the wall with the Cav sketch 😊, I have one too πŸš΄πŸΌπŸ‘πŸ».

Glad the training is going well for you both, not long now 🌍🚴🏼🚴🏼.

  6. I have a question. Do you folks have bicycle insurance and/or travel insurance? Also the last bit of your video was very scary with that creature πŸ˜‚

  7. That looked like fun, the weather was much better and the scenery was amazingπŸ‘ŒGood effort guys😊In Scotland it poured down all morning but it cleared up in the afternoon so I sneaked in a nice 50 milerπŸ‘

  8. Great effort and video as always guys. Every time you do the no rest for the wicky I can’t help but finish it off in my head with the carol singers scene from Black adders Christmas Carol which goes wicky wicky woo. Watch it sometime and I bet it sticks with you. Enjoy the rest of your trip, the accommodations and toys look great.

  9. Wowza, your helmet-head was very impressive! In not such a good way.

You guys, from a very casual rider's pov, are fit as butcher's dogs – super fit – so it's kinda great to hear you were easily(?) passed by the Alpecin–Deceuninck pro team.

You two are inspirational and just plain fantastic

  10. What with Amy forever running while lost and watch Kyle race off into the sunset down that mountain, you two look like you're having the best of times. I would love to have a journey like that and it seems like there's a lot of keen cyclist out there already. Kyle your stats are fine, just enjoy it. Amy, looking great as always.

  11. Amy use the oven underneath , microwaves are not good ! Alsooooooo puuuuuuuuuush those climbs ! πŸ˜€ ! Also put on the screen some power numbers/heart rate and interval counts , it will be more interactive !

  12. I’d thought for your RTW trip ,would be to get through each days 125 miles, using as little effort as possible. 12 hours cruising much better than 9/10 hours going harder.

  13. Amy, i'm heading out for a week in Denia on Monday. Quite surprised to see you so wrapped up… I was going to take bib shorts/long sleeve summer jersey. Will I be freezing? Do I need more layers? πŸ˜€
