I have the chance to buy a used Pedersen that comes with a Rohloff hub for $1000 total. I’m very tempted as it’s such a special and very cool bike from what I’ve read but I’m curious if any xbike folks have tried them! Mine would be the 28” wheel model.
Thanks

It’s a crane fly
Depends what you want to do on it. They’re very upright. Seems very cheap for how much they cost.
I’d buy it if I had the budget and the place to store it. But as a “café bike”.
Only drove one for a very short test, as I’m always dreaming of adding it to my collection. An included Rohloff hub would tempt me more, mostly from the technical side.
It’s like riding a cloud, for better or worse.
Slow and comfortable.
great photo
If you’re into the novelty then sure go for it. It doesn’t look like an enjoyable ride though.
Maybe a hammock seat was a brilliant solution before pneumatic tires and paved roads but now we have those things.
Consider that for 1k$ you’re buying rohloff with gratis bike to test;) no trainer for me:)
Honestly that sounds like a great deal. I prefer more dynamic seat positions but for that price that thing would probably end up in my garage.
If you want a fun, interesting, and different bike, yes they are worth it.
Honestly, with a rohloff and for a $1000, I would buy it, even though I am more into cargo bikes as a rule
How could you pass up such a monumental erection?
