Merc introduced a key motion sensor to help tackle relay theft, whereby the key goes to sleep if it's been inactive for 40 seconds. Just need to be weary of your surroundings. Helps if you press the lock button twice when leaving it too. It disables keyless entry.
As an X car theif i can assure the guy doing the interview was impressed and got that same rush of excitement you get from taking the car. That rush can be addicting thats why he smiled and laughed when the guy was able to show him but this is a crime caught on video so they all just broke the law and posted ot online.
