OP must live in a country with free healthcare. Joking aside those sticks have to go. They’re too small to provide any real stability and are a death wish waiting to happen. Id also move the jump up hill so you have more real estate for the landing. Step downs don’t need that aggressive of a lip either.

I wont give someone who is trying a hard time, but you got to get rid of those sticks man. Use rocks or small logs if you need filler/support

Aside from the death sticks and assuming you have permission to build the trail by the land owner or managers: 1. You’ve built a rut. Water will channel very quickly down the middle and wash out the jump. 2. Even if you cover up the death sticks or cut them flat, the water will wash the dirt off. 3. If you can fix the rut problem and build a drain at the bottom, the death sticks will still get waterlogged and rot.
