It depends, the variance on pricing for these frames must be high. I would suspect something around ~£150/200. I am good at hoarding, not so good at selling.

They took out the headset, but left the bottom bracket? Odd.
Pricing depends entirely on your local market. This would take forever to move near me, but if it was the right size, $100-150 probably.

Dream frame!! That can change things a bit then, it’s whatever you won’t beat yourself up for too much at night. But within reason, since we’re here on earth.
Bare frame/BB included nothing over 250$USD, and many might say that’s too high.

Try looking at ebay sold listings. Take an avg and offer that to start.

$100 in Southern Cali.

Offer $200 if seller can remove BB hahaha
SkyyRez on
Make sure the bb isn’t seized and there is minimal rust. If it was exactly what i wanted i would do maybe $200 at most

I’d start at haggling for 75% asking price, maybe settle for 85% if they’re a hard nut to crack & it’s definitely not a lemon

If you pay 100 more or less is irrelevant. Do you really think, that the best price today counts when in 1 or 2 years you look back to many satisfying rides on your dreambike??? Take it, it looks pretty nice!
Critical671 on
the asking price is absolutely ridiculous. most of the seller’s other listings are way overpriced as well. i’ll bet you can get the same frame shipped to you from somewhere else in the US for half of what he wants for it.

Where I live it’s a 50$ frame, eBay sellers are delusional
Expert-Economics8912 on
Here complete vintage mountain bikes are either asking $400+ if the seller is into bikes, or under $50, if the seller is an older person looking to clean out their garage.

$200 is a fair price. If they don’t budge, $250 should do it. Sometimes coming out of pocket a bit more is worth getting what you want!

Send me the link to the listing and I’ll let you know!

Well, brother, it has the original paint, that’s worth a lot, and it includes the fork.

Just saw this on FBMP. Dudes asking $600 for a bare frameset

200 would be max, but it all depends on what you’re willing to pay for your dream to come true.

I just bought a ’93 GT Tequesta full bike with a sweet paintjob for $80 outside of Charlotte, NC

Price depends on how much you want it. I found my dream bike last week. Its the first time I’ve seen one come up for sale.
To me, it was worth what I paid because it is now mine. What the market value is, does not matter.

I bought a timberline in the same color scheme for $60 here in Cincinnati a couple weeks ago.

I paid $15 for my karakoram but it was in pretty rough shape and not purple 🤷♀️

Was the Karakoram the XT bike? I remember the Tequesta was the LX bike and I think there was a DX bike but I can’t remember what the third one was.

Man, I got that exact frame color and everything brand new back on the early 2000’s for about $50. Kinda wish I never got rid of that bike.
I would not pay more than $50 for a frame w/no headset. maybe less.
200-300
My LBS regularly builds out and sells older mtbs and I bought a very similar GT Allterra for 125 bucks
