Been eyeing these bikes for a nice and cheap first bike. Anyone have opinions about buying a restoration? I dig these old bikes but don’t know if it’s something doomed to fail if I get one.

whats your purpose of bike? the first is a rigid mountain bike the second is a road bike. very different bikes for different applications
