Maybe I'm by myself on this one, but thought I'd check with reddit first… Since my gravel race calendar tends to lean more towards technical climbs, descents, and washboards than it does the typical race of attrition, I decided to buy the Giant Revolt X. Where I tend to stack up in races, a 40T chainring, even with a 10T in the rear, I don't think is going to cut it. So I'm wondering if anyone has put a 46T chainring on the Revolt X.
Before anyone asks/mentions, I know the bike is ~1 kg heavier than the rigid model, but the suspension fork was a huge game changer this last race season on my Orbea Terra (which yes, I know, shouldn't of had a suspension fork on it geometrically speaking). I'm also 180 lbs during race season so I'm not overly concerned with 2 pounds here or there. I found myself more than capable of keeping with the group on climbs since I can lock it out and I was able to descent and handle washboard corners better than anyone in the field. On top of that, the Terra only had room for 40mm tires, and the Revolt can handle most 2.2 tires from what I can tell.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You could probably fit a road sized crankset if you wanted, only reason it might not work is if you would hit the chainstays due to the clearance needed for wide tires
Why not measure?
Well now you see 1x for gravel or road is absolute nonsense. 2x or nothing man.
