Hey guys, was looking to adjust my seats fore aft but now I can get both bolts to torque to spec. That back one torqued to 12 nm but the front one just changes the seat angle and doesn’t feel like it’s going to tighten. Is this normal am I only supposed to torque the back or are both supposed to torque? Also is 12nm the right spec it says 16 nm max at the top of the seat post. All help will be greatly appreciated!

Both are for clamping the saddle AND adjusting the angle.
Unscrew both bolts until you can more your saddle at rhe desired position and then tight them back, bit at the front, bit at the back, until it’s at the correct angle, and then torque.

  2. On my Boardman I only torque the rear one. With front one I adjust saddle angle. First loosen the back and then adjust with the front. Then tighten the back and check for 0° angle with phone app.

Btw if 16nm is max torque. If you have grease on the threads go 25% lower.

Even without grease I would go lower. Some you did the right thing with 12nm for the rear bolt.
