I get Cheyne Rob very rarely, but this frame allows me to fit bigger tires on 650 B and I have a pretty short inseam so I’m very comfy on em. Makes it super playful and I love jumping around.
What do you think guys? Should I go one by 12 GRX?
I also have a spare GX AXS BUT I DON’T KNOW IF IT’S COMPATIBLE

I don’t know if axs is compatible but it already looks dope
I enjoy how fired up you got when talking about the axs stuff
Transmission (t-type chains) axs udh only, non t-type is compatible.
Yes it’s both “outdated”, but why should you care? It works reliably and parts are available.
If you have the axs you need new dropbar shifters for it.
It’s kind of a dead wheel size, as in a lot of the new tires are only coming out on 700/29. Doesn’t mean it works poorly, though I probably wouldn’t invest in those wheels today.
2×11-40 on 650b slaps. Mega range and small steps.
Your bike looks like it’s in a shallow grave 🪦
I heard the same about 26″ tyres and there is still a lot of people using them with plenty of options available. Stop listening the marketing and just ride.
Yes just bury it where it is now. This bike is no longer compatible with expected norms.
You can continue riding but dont expect many compatible wheels or tyres coming out. 27,5″ is more or less dead within the xc mtb space, so you will have a hard time getting newly released tyres, especially when the first 32″ gravels and mtbs will be available this year.
As far as groupsets go sram road wont be using the udh dropout for direct mount anytime soon, shimano and campagnolo dont have direct mount anyway and shimanos patent for a new hanger is basically a more robust udh hanger.
If you are debating whether you are should stay 2x or go 1x, it’s honestly preference. Im not a fan of 2x, i come from a mtb background so im not missing the small steps a roadie might miss. For me its 1×13 in the form of the new sram groupsets although i considered campagnolo too but setup is on the fiddly side and there aren’t any compatible trainers that have a n3w freehub. The zwift cog also doesn’t work with campa 13s and sram flattop isn’t ideal either, which would work with campa 1×13 stuff.
