Looks like you lost the split link. It needs one to be ridden safely.

Yeah your judt missing the other side. Sometimes it looks just like a solid side with two holes in it, or a clip with some teeth on the front

The photo is of the back side of a single speed master link. Buy a new one. (2 pieces missing)

Quick link. Go to you LBS and get a new one.

As others have said with varying accuracy you’re missing a part. There would be a hairpin shaped piece that locks those other two pieces together. You might get away with safety wiring it on but a new master link is the best solution
