Just showing off my custom, simple, and very effective stand made of 3/4" plywood and 3" casters. Holds the rack upright and lets you move it with very little effort. I've been using it for a few months now, works great. Makes installing and removing the rack a breeze: roll it into position, lift a little, and insert – reverse for removal.

  1. Ok, that’s a solution to a “problem” that I never knew existed.

Even after all of these years using two and four bike platform racks. I still just pick the rack up, carry it to the receiver, and slide it in. Easy peasy.

  2. This is great. Racks are weird objects that when not on the vehicle, can be hard to work with. This helps easily store it and easily move it. Nice solution.

  3. That’s clever. 4 bike platform takes a fair bit of floor space and has odd sides so it’s easily stood up. One side seems to hold the cricket kit for half the year but its not a great use of limited space

Great idea. My kuat rack is so damn heavy and I whack my shins nearly every time I carry it when I add/remove it. I have to store it around 50′ away from where I can install it in my car, so this would make that much easier.
