The front wheel I will use a u lock to lock it to the bike rack cos the space between frame and wheel clearance is too far apart. Using 2 Hiplock DX btw. What do you think?
Yeah when in doubt, always protect the rear wheel as it is more expensive, maybe add cable to protect the front too. Also that is a really nice color😁

Looks good to me 🙂

Wheel and frame are locked to a stationary object and with a single U-lock, that is the best you can do. Front wheel has quick release, so is easy to steal and should also be locked.

Yes, that’s pretty much the best you can do with such a small lock. Becomes more interesting if you have only thick street lights or trees to lock your bike to …

It’s a way.

Sure. It looks great.
There are many ways to do it.
Depending on your frame it might be easier for the front lock to connect to the bike rack because the downtube is narrower than the rear triangle.

With one lock, yes. Ideally need a means of securing your front wheel though.
Love that paint scheme on the Nicasio by the way. Marin coming through with some great stuff recently.

Yes, I do it exactly that way! The less free space there is inside the U-lock, the harder it is for thieves to break the lock.
