      I was so glad to go to Maho beach !! The info you shared about it is very helpful to those who want to go because I wouldn’t want to stay there very long because it’s too busy. Thank you so much for the beach info!!

      Lol, you forgot to mention that for whatever reason, and despite the risks, people seem to enjoy getting blasted by the 4k lbs of engine thrust when a huge plane takes off and blown down into the sands

      Thank you so much for this informative video. Going to St. Maartin this summer and I’ve learned so much about the beaches in the area. I had no idea there were so many beaches. Maho Beach is on my bucket list, but now I’m not so sure 🤔 as there are now other beaches that I would love to go to that make more sense to visit. Thanks again!! 😊

      I have a timeshare at Dawn beach. I also stayed at Divi in Little bay. Little Bay is a great beach to hang out at. It’s right next Philipsburg . You do pay for a day pass at Little bay but I think it’s Definitely worth it. Dawn beach is beautiful but always has a current. Not sure I would recommend it for the day. It’s where I stay when I’m on the island, but the beach isn’t ideal. My favorite beach is Friars Bay. Simpson Bay is also a great day beach close to Philipsburg.

      Very good video but I do have one thing to add. The walk from Friars Bay to Happy Bay is not an easy 12 minute hike, it took me closer to 20 minutes a few weeks ago. And definitely do NOT wear flip flops unless you want to break an ankle. A good amount of the hike is rocky on a very thin path. I would still recommend it as the end result is worth it, but I would also recommend coming in from the other entrance in Grand Case.

      Pretty sure the only official clothing optional beach is the south side of Orient (past the rocks), and the rest of the beaches on the French side are top-optional.
      Another unofficial nude beach that wasn’t mentioned was Cupecoy on the Dutch side.

      Hello. Thank you for this review. I’m taking a cruise soon and will be stopping there. What about Rendezvous Beach? Is that one you would recommend?

      I'm really surprised you didn't mention Pinel Island which is a free beach also. Just a short 10 minute water taxi ride and you'll find this hidden gem. Lovely sandy beaches, walking trails and a few small shops with a bar and food. We found this spot a few years ago and has become a most re-visit every time we visit St, Martin.

      Sint Maarten/St. Martin is 34 square miles in total size, NOT 13 square miles as you state. And it has 37 different beaches. All SXM beaches are public, despite what resorts may advertise, you have a public right to access to all beaches . Kim Sha beach is part of the long Simpson Bay Beach, which has facilities, many new clubs and restaurants all along it. . Most SXM maps will just show it as Simpson Bay Beach. Yes taxis will know where to take cruise ship folks if they ask for Kim Sha Beach. .Yes Kim Sha was a nice Chinese beach restaurant there , back in the day. FYI, I have been coming to SXM since 1990, and I am a moderator of a large SXM Facebook group. Dawn Beach is one of my least favorite, as it often has rough Atlantic Ocean waters making it less safe, less fun, and without free facilities. Cheers and best to you.

      How could you do a video like this without mentioning Grand Case?! Definitely better than all of the beaches mentioned and you can also catch planes flying to the French airport. Not to mention grabbing a bite at the lolos . 😅

      Its a shame Maho is washed out… we were lucky enough to see the KLM 747 land a few years back before they retired their 747 fleet. A330 and 787 are the largest planes that currently land at SXM.
