When the quick link passes between the top jockey wheel and cog it seems to not be sitting on the tooth properly and then jumps down in between
Any ideas to why this is happening ?
Thank you 🙏
Is this only with the quick link? I’d first try making minor adjustments to the cable tension of the derailer. On the shifter at the handlebar, or on the derailer itself, you’ll likely see a barrel adjuster. Turn it to the right one click, test it out, if it still catches try another click. If you encounter shifting problems after this, it could be the quick link being the problem. I personally haven’t seen this specific problem before so this is as much as I can help.
Edit: also consider checking the limit screws. Limit screws control how far the derailer can travel.

Im still learning and want to give it a try….. from what I see, it looks like the chain is wanting to climb up to the next cog which tells me that the adjustment on the H limit needs to be dialed to keep it on the hardest gear. Not sure if I’m correct or not and don’t know much about quick link and relationship to how the chain behaves. But that’s my observation. Interested in seeing what others have to say. Good luck!

Dont know if it this occurs only with quick link but I would turn the barrel adjuster clockwise (quarter turn) until it runs on your smallest cog nicely.

Is the quick link fully clicked in?
