Hey all!
After having had my 2020 nukeproof scout 275 in storage for years due to circumstances I finally got access to it again and I'm planning to go all in on getting into mountainbiking.
The thing that I am clueless about are which tyres to go for (they currently are Schwalbe Hurricanes which I realise aren't what I need at all).
I really want to get into learning jumps, bunny hops, manuals, all the playful stuff. Most of the offroad terrain around here is gravel and hardpacked dirt however, with a lot of asfalt riding to get to those locations.
I will also sign up for clinics that happen every 2-3 months. Those will be on a mix of terrain but will be beginner oriented so I don't expect it to get very rough.
I plan to take the train to small bikeparks and asfalt pumptracks once a month for practice, but those don't have any big jumps to my understanding. This short 2 minute video shows what the closest bikepark to my area is like to give you an idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NcPODnPIW8 .
I also plan to buy a MTB hopper ramp for some closer to home practice once I feel ready for it.
Which tyres would you guys suggest that can handle the things I mentioned here?
My local community suggested me the racing ralph and racing ray combo, but when googling I keep reading that they may not be the best for what I want, and it also seems to be prone to punctures according to what I foud online. The belgian MTB scene is REALLY focussed on cross country with long distances (and a lot of asfalt in between) so that may be why everyone uses them here. My interests are different from what the majority here rides however.
Thanks in advance!

Info on the MAXXIS page might help you; it rates tires for rolling speed, braking & cornering. Even if you don’t want MAXXIS, it’ll give you an idea of the tread pattern and even sidewall that fits you.
Racing Ralph with inserts maybe?
