Hi all !
While doing maintenance of my bike I heard like a strange metallic noise coming from around the brake disc area (front wheel) can’t tell if it’s normal or not but it sounds like the brake pads are too tighten or something .. it’s really light , hidden by the noise of the wheel but it’s there. any thoughts ?
Thanks in advance , enjoy your day 🙌🏻

The brakedisk is rubbing on your pads. Realign the caliber to fix it.
Its brake rub so you got that diagnosed right. Try to see if its one sided. Look from above and see if there is excess space on the non/rubbing side. If that is the case you have to centre the brake calliper. You can do this by loosening the mounting bolts (the bolts that attach the calliper to the frame) and squeezing the brake lever in question. While holding the lever squeezed re-tighten the bolts to spec. This should get rid of it
If it doesn’t, one of your pistons is sticking out further than the other. You can either take it to your local shop and they’ll have it fixed in no time or do it yourself which is not hard but requires some googling and supplies.
It could also just be some dirt. Wipe the disc with a clean (important!!!) rag or paper towel and see if it solves it.
Overall nothing to get really worried about!
