If you replaced the tube inside then you should be good, you shouldnt have to replace a tire for something like that

nope, that little cut is no big deal. maybe put a little boot (a dollar bill works great) between the tube and tire at the cut point.

I wouldn’t replace it for that. Inflate with a tube in and see if it bulges out a little. If you get a bulge the construction of the tire is a bit compromised. However, using a park tool tire boot will take care of it.

Just keep an eye on it but in my experience I used two different tires (GP4k and Gatorskin) this way until the tread wore out.

  4. Check the inside and see if there is a big tear inside as well. If so, glue a boot inside it. Also, get some rubber solvent in the tear. It’ll help bond the carcass back together too

Glue/patch this closed, don’t boot it. Boots are temporary repairs that will just add hassle next time you have to change a tube.

No; there’s probably just a pinhole sized hole inside the tire. Just be sure to dig around in there thoroughly to make sure you’ve removed all the glass before you put in a new tube.

  7. No. Thr tyre is fine. As long as the glass is removed then it will be fine. You could inflate the tyre and add a drop of super glue if you want. This it to prevent debris entering the hole.

  8. As others have suggested , I’d poke around in the cut, feeling for anything hard and get it out if you find any, put a drop of super glue in the cut, and if I’m still concerned about this, put a little self-stick rim tape over the inside of this cut (rounding off the corners). Good luck!
