Dude’s wisdom + expertise got me through a bunch of bottom brackets, chain lengths, headsets, freewheel cassettes from knowing nada.
Respect to the man! Salute. Enjoy retirement to the fullest baby!

I’ll still here his voice in my head any time I adjust a derailleur

Good for him. Dude shared a lifetime’s worth of bike repair and maintenance knowledge with millions of at-home (and certainly some professional) mechanics. Retirement well earned!

Riding a bike daily has been one of the single biggest improvements in my quality of life, and being able to do most of my own maintenance has been freeing. When I first started riding all I knew how to do was inflate a tire. Calvin’s videos have been a major contributor to me getting from there to stripping down an old bike and rebuilding from the frame up. I’ve still got a lot to learn and hopefully many years to do so, and will still be spending plenty of time with his videos. Happy retirement to to Calvin Jones, with gratitude for his contributions to the cycling community!
