To me, and I can understand that, "Romagna" way of life is too different from the anglosaxon/Australian. "Romagnoli" beahviour is a bit too much even for us upnorth, after days and days… so from Stoner's view.. it' s a quite normal thing to say after years together. But Marquez in 2015 showed antsportsmanlike counduct.. like loosing on purpose a football match in order to let someone win the championship instead of another. You can think what you want, but it's crystal clear. Marquez took Rossi’s same game from a level of borderline provocation to one of actual malicious conduct — carried out continuously, deliberately, and vindictively. If you can’t grasp that nuance, we could argue about it forever. It’s the difference between scratching someone’s car and sabotaging their brakes.
All you moaners complaining about the past rivalries and discussing who was at fault must love that they all hold hands in the paddock nowadays. I'd give my left ball to see a proper, all out rivalry between two guys who hate each others guts. Imagine Acosta on a proper bike duking it out with whoever, no regards to playing it safe for the PR machine. I'd freakin love that.
Stoner and Marquez are nothing compared to the greatness of Rossi… Stoner and Marquez always had superior bikes and still lost to Rossi… Rossi is up there for ever….the rest will only be lackies.
Vale was at his best when neck deep in some really competitive mind games with a bitter rival. I understand he needed it, I just wish he would move on now that he’s retired and be cool with Marc and stoner
