Long story short- I’ve been into tris many years now, and rode budget bikes and saved my money to buy this baby in May!

https://www.canyon.com/en-us/road-bikes/triathlon-bikes/speedmax/cf-slx/speedmax-cf-slx-8-di2-vanquish/4315.html?dwvar\_4315\_pv\_rahmenfarbe=R091\_P11&dwvar\_4315\_pv\_rahmengroesse=L

In a bit of a freak situation, its crashed- frame is toast and we don’t trust the forks (I’m fine, and even PR’d in Madison IM 70.3 on a borrowed bike)

Canyon has been trying to get me frame and forks though crash replacement and it’s gone on since September but now they admit they can’t. Instead they’ve offered me a 30% discount on a new (ugh)

So I have nice HED wheels, Ultegra DI2s and am looking another big chunk of money in the face if I just re-purchase the bike at discount(Yeah, wish I’d insured it)

I have local bike shops that rep Trek, Specialized, and Cervelo- the Specialized replacement frame is super expensive.

Any thoughts on what options you’d try? Thanks.

  1. I would check out Quintana Roo. The X-PR frameset is a far better deal than any of the big brands.
