Public transportation in Coventry is very good, just the trains sometimes are unreliable but that’s generally during strikes. I hope you settle in well, and make friends. My older sisters moved in Coventry since they started Uni, and have live there ever since. So I hope you enjoy it! 😊
You should try out Jinseon Korean BBQ Restaurant at some point if you're into that sort of food. It's a couple minute walk from the transport museum.
While it's always great to have a car. Cov is pretty situated for getting out there on the train. Stratford isn't far, beautiful place. Birmingham isn't far either is you want bigger city vibes. Bedworth and Nuneaton are close by but there's nothing there really, if you ever were to choose to explore that way.
deffo drive i see with the parking at hospital staff should not have to pay but you might find someone on a local facebook group who might let you park on their drive next to hospital worth a shot
