Some pictures from a week spent mostly gravel riding in Southern Spain. I spent a week in La Cala de Mijas, right between Malaga and Marbella, where I rented a gravel bike. I was hoping to do a mix of road and gravel cycling. However, I quickly found out that the roads were too busy for my liking and ended up doing most of my riding on gravel.
I must say, the gravel riding in the area is pretty amazing. There are gravel tracks everywhere in all directions. Only thing to keep in mind is that the area is very hilly and mountainous. Over 6 days of riding I did 7850m of elevation (over 350km). So if you like climbing and gravel riding, I highly recommend this region of Spain. For route ideas, there are plenty of local routes on the website of the bike rental palce I used in Fuengirola (Terral Bike Rental).
