Hidden pocket saddles NEED to make a comeback

Something like the WTP smuggler seat line-up.

I’m extremely thankful to be living somewhere where I don’t have to worry about getting my bike stolen anywhere I go, but I can’t help but worry about my worst fear regarding my bike becoming a reality; to get my bike stolen in a foreign country.

Recently, I began planning bike trips abroad in many different countries and I’ve already visited a few countries with my bike in Western Europe and, wherever I parked my bike there (even for a very short time) I tend to lock my bike with two locks while making sure that all the valuable parts are intertwined with the cables.

Now, let’s imagine a very unfortunate scenario (which had sadly become a reality to one of my homies in Barcelona recently), that my bike gets stolen. With the help of something similar to the WTP smuggler seat, I’d be able to hide an air tag (I’m an iPhone user) inside the saddle using the hidden pocket. With that, I’d be able to track down my bike in case it gets stolen.

However, there’s an issue which I’ve discovered whilst trying to purchase a WTP Smuggler saddle, it’s been discontinued. It’s sold out everywhere and I can’t find a single trusted bike shop to purchase it from. Something else which I found to be odd is the fact that WTP is the only BMX brand (that I know of) to create such a product.

I just hope that WTP, or any BMX brand, decide to bring such a revolutionary technology back to BMX.
