Glass-Description420 on January 2, 2026 3:08 am you can try clear coat or red paint if the bare metal bothers you but other than that it’s really just a scratch.
Competitive_Pop_2869 on January 2, 2026 3:14 am Your bike is structurally sound. Don’t worry about it. It’s just cosmetic.
Slow_Ice5066 on January 2, 2026 3:20 am I would be concerned that the chain ring is bent towards the frame or the frame is bent towards the chain ring.
Asleep-Specialist892 on January 2, 2026 3:27 am Only a novice… Keep that in mind. Same happened to my bike, and it eventually cut through wires without me even realising. Not saying it will happen, or should happen. I eventually replaced my chainring etc to get more clearance.
Mass_Jass on January 2, 2026 3:29 am If it’s just the chain that caused that, you’re fine. If your frame is steel, hit it with a paint pen to protect it from rust. If it keeps happening, you might need to adjust your front derailleur.
