Buy it if it fits you, do not hesitate. But also buy it anyway, that’s an American steel frame w a Phil Wood hub. Even if you ruin it with v brakes you it’ll be cooler than most of the bikes in this sub
Its an early one, 1980s, before individual models. I’d say $800 tops
Somewhere around an 89/90 Fat or Wicked Fat. 91+ Wickeds had decals that said “Wicked Fat Chance” but 90 did not. Fork looks funky, haven’t seen that crown design before. Cool Onza headset, Phil hubs, buy that thing!
It could be what they called the original “Fat Chance” model. Usually pre-dates the Wicked (although there does seem to have been some overlap) and has slightly slacker angles.
If you change to v brakes I’ll buy those cantis off you.
Having owned a 1985 fat chance it’s a cool bike but (IMO) rides terribly. I ended up selling it after owning it for a year and not riding it
I have a 1985 fat chance kicker and it had the same fork and headset on it. No phil wood on mine though.
