A few months ago, this popped up in the sale section on Soma’s site and I grabbed it. It’s a prototype fork for the Wolverine but I got it thinking maybe I’d build up a Wolverine eventually. I’ve seen mixed reviews about the quality control for Wolverine frames and am open to other frames/ideas. I’d like to do an all-arounder type of deal, more geared towards loaded touring. I’ve got lots of experience working on and building up bikes, but have never owned or used a thru-axle bike before. That’s pretty new to me. I’ve looked at the similar Maxway-built Velo-Orange frames and other stuff from Soma, but just not sure which direction to go as I’d prefer to just buy the frame separately instead of a frameset.
A titanium frame would be pretty sick for something like this. Obviously expensive but would be pretty good for touring. Not an expert by any means but could be worth looking into.

That’s a steerer tube that shouldn’t go to waste — I’d build it up with any frame you can find that has a 27cm or longer head tube.

Edit: In terms of specs, the closest thing [will be this Wolverine fork](https://www.somafabshop.com/shop/soma-fork-wolverine-lugged-crown-lunar-rock-flat-mount-6913?category=975#attr=1485). Everything should be the same except the fork crown and color.
