Hey guys I found this listed for $500. Been looking for a nice bike to ride around for fun while getting some good performance. Came across this one and haven’t really heard anything bad about this bike model, but cant really find much for its value. Hopefully you guys can help me out!

yeah, more or less. I’m a big fan of the road bikes with triples from that era. I’ve seen some trek carbon as low as 350usd, but that one has a nice groupset so 500 is pretty reasonable. Take it for a spin, check the shifting front and rear. inspect the whole frame for cracks. if you buy, consider replacing brake pads. how tall are you? that bike is in the 5’7-5’11 sort of range.

Wheels get spent over time. You may need new set if they bend with caliper pressure.
You will do much better comfort wise with todays drop bar.
Bigger tyres, larger dimension give vastly better comfort. But frame determains max size.
Bottom line, its bicycle you you wrench on, its simple to fix and maintain.
