I’ve had zero issues on my outdoor rides and now I can’t get it to shift to a bigger/easier gear since I put it on my indoor trainer. Front derailleur is fine. No issues shifting there. I’m sure it’s just an “I’m an idiot” easy fix. Either way please help me.

I can only shift to a smaller/harder gear since I put my bike on my wahoo kickr. Video below

  1. Are you sure the shift cable is attached? The spring in the derailleur will pull it to the smallest gear if it has no tension from the cable.

  2. Is that your thru axel coming out the side there? If so, you’re 100% missing a spacer or two. There should be a spacer on each side of the kickr

If you try to shift the other way do you get any clicks from the shifter to suggest it’s ratcheting out some cable? This sounds like your shifter is in the easiest gear so there’s no next gear to shift into to pull more cable through, so either an incorrectly set up rear mech or maybe a cable has popped out a guide and you’ve lost tension from the system.
