First ride with the new Elitewheels Gravel Aero+ and the impressions are pretty good. I definitely think that wider is better. My Pirelli Cinturato M went from 47 mm (26 mm internal) to 49,5 mm (32 mm internal). As you can see in the last picture, a little bit of tire protrudes on the sides, which I prefer to avoid exposing the rim that much. The feeling on road is a bit weird because when leaning and turning, the wheels feels like it wants to go straight and perpendicular to the ground. Probably because the tire isn’t as round as before, it’s not a bad thing, it’s just something curious. Off-road it feels amazing probably the most part due to lowering the pressure from 1,95 bar front to 1,65. Wheels are laterally stiff but not uncomfortable, at least at this pressure. The hub engages good enough. Will see in the future how they hold up but if they do, for the price they will be an excellent wheelset.
Just a side note, the previous 9Velo that I had, they fitted inside this Elitewheels, that’s how they massively wide are.
