  1. Can you remove the cage? Probably four screws you can take off and then you’d have room to get a smaller pipe wrench on the spindle. If it were my pedal, I’d try hitting the crankarm with a propane torch first, to heat up and expand the aluminum and possibly break any bonds from galvanic corrosion.

It’s drive side, so, usual lefty loosey on that pedal spindle… just to dummy check that you are going the correct direction (non drive side pedal loosens clockwise).

You can try taking apart the pedal. Remove the cage (if possible) and then try to remove the body by undoing the bolt on the outer side (it’s commonly a 6 or 8mm tube socket or a 6mm allen), leaving only the spindle attached to the crank. Then you can use something like a pipe wrench (Knipex Cobra for example I mean) grabbing the spindle, and, grabbing the wrench strongly,, remove it from the crank.

Probably the pedal will be wasted in the process. If you’re not worried about that and you can’t remove the nut/bolt that holds the pedal body, just use an angular grinder and cut off the pedal body and the spindle. Once the end spindle bolt is cut the body should slide out.

As u/drewbaccaAWD has mentioned, remember pedals always tighten “forward”, so the drive side will loosen counter clockwise, and non drive side loosens clockwise.

Edit: here’s an image explaining. First remove the bolts marked with 1, remove the cage, then remove the plastic cap that it’s on place marked 2, and behind the plastic cap you should have a 6 or 8mm nut. Remove it, and you should be able to remove the pedal body and leave only the spindle, then work on the spindle:

Remove the cage any way you desire. I’d probably unscrew it or grinder.

Mostly looks like a job for channel lock, vise grip pliers. Clamp and turn.

    New peddle day.

    Vice grips and CRC Freeze-Off

Heat is an option as well.

All three can be found at ANY hardware store.

As well as a new 15mm wrench, cause whatever was used originally on that spindle sure wasn’t getting good purchase. (Unless you turned it the wrong direction)
