Caution: Distressing footage.
This police bodycam footage shows the moment Southport killer Axel Rudakubana was arrested after a stabbing attack last July.
Rudakubana murdered Alice da Silva Aguiar, Bebe King and Elsie Dot Stancombe and injured 10 other people during the mass stabbing at the Hart Space in Southport on July 29 last year.
Rudakubana, who was sentenced to a minimum of 52 years in prison earlier this year, is seen in new footage being handcuffed and put into the back of a police vehicle by officers.
An officer, who is filming the arrest on his body-cam, can be heard radioing in to control: “We’ve got no information to suggest there’s anyone else other than this person involved. There’s a knife up there, he’s been disarmed.”
