I’ve got a lightspeed c1r that i think is even older than that and I love it, i’ve had it so long i don’t remember the year of the frame…. i mean i bought it from price point… That said it’s comical how the cycling community seems to think a few year old bike is wildly out of date.

the only annoying thing about the older road bikes is its harder to run bigger tires and maaaaaybe disc brakes. Otherwise I don’t see any huge benefit to newer stuff.
I always loved those cannondales and still have a caad4 I ride
